Job Description:
Write and improve English and Spanish learning activities and assessments for kids in PreK through 2nd grade on the Khan Academy Kids app. Remote, 24-month fixed-term role.
About the Role
Khan Academy Kids, a free learning app for children ages 2 to 8, is looking for a bilingual (English/Spanish) early-learning content creator. You will join a small team of product managers, engineers, designers, and academic experts to build and improve learning activities and assessments. This is a fixed-term position expected to last 24 months.
What You Will Do
- Write standards-aligned learning activities and assessment items in English and Spanish for PreK to 2nd grade
- Map content coverage and identify gaps across the app's library
- Revise assessments using child assessment data and analysis
- Test new items with children and educators in classrooms
- Coordinate audio and asset requests with creative teams
- Act as an editorial reviewer for English and Spanish content
What You Need
- 2+ years developing educational content or teaching, ideally PreK to 2nd grade
- Full professional fluency in English and Spanish (assessed during hiring)
- Experience with early-learning standards such as Head Start ELOF or Common Core
- Comfort using data to improve content, and willingness to learn JSON and SQL
- Strong project management and attention to detail
Pay
$77,600 to $87,300 per year for US-based candidates, with generous time off and wellness days.
