What You Will Do
- Handle a high volume of inbound calls from patients, patient representatives, attorneys, and insurance companies
- Identify each caller's needs and resolve inquiries accurately and on time
- Research and document billing issues using standard work policies and department resources
- Explain USACS billing policies, process payments and adjustments, and help settle account balances
- Follow escalation protocols, HIPAA, and department schedule and attendance policies
What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- No experience required; call center, customer service, medical insurance, or billing experience is helpful
- Strong phone and active listening skills with a professional, empathetic manner
- Comfort with Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook plus basic math for payments and balances
- Familiarity with medical insurance terms, ICD-10, or CPT is a plus
