Job Description
We're hiring reliable and energetic Sign Holders to help advertise store closing sales! You’ll stand outside near high-traffic areas holding bright, eye-catching signs to direct people to the store. This is a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys being outside, staying active, and bringing good vibes to shoppers.
Location: Various Storefronts / Street Corners (Local Travel May Be Required)
Pay: $17 – $20 per hour (based on experience and location)
Schedule: Part-Time or Full-Time | 4–8 Hour Shifts | Weekdays & Weekends Available
Key Responsibilities:
- Hold and wave a sign advertising the store’s closing sale.
- Stand in a visible, designated location near the store or busy intersection.
- Use energy and friendly body language to grab attention.
- Follow safety rules, especially when working near streets or parking lots.
- Set up and take down sign or banner at shift start/end (if needed).
- Stay on schedule and take breaks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be punctual and reliable.
- Able to stand and hold a sign for up to 4 hours at a time.
- Comfortable working in outdoor conditions (heat, light rain, wind, etc.).
- Positive attitude and willingness to engage with passing traffic.
- Must be at least 16 years old (18+ preferred for some locations).
- Previous promotional or street marketing experience is a plus, but not required.

Sample Shift Breakdown (Full-Time, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM):

9:00 AM – 9:15 AM | Check-In & Setup | Arrive at location, check in with manager or coordinator, get sign and vest. |
9:15 AM – 11:00 AM | Active Holding – Morning Rush | Stand at intersection or storefront, wave sign, stay energetic and visible. |
11:00 AM – 11:15 AM | Break #1 | Quick water and stretch break (paid). |
11:15 AM – 1:00 PM | Holding + Directional Assistance | Continue sign holding, point people toward the entrance, give a friendly wave. |
1:00 PM – 1:30 PM | Lunch Break | Off-duty lunch (unpaid). |
1:30 PM – 3:00 PM | Afternoon Push | Stay active during peak foot traffic times; switch spots if needed. |
3:00 PM – 3:15 PM | Break #2 | Hydrate and rest. |
3:15 PM – 4:45 PM | Final Stretch | Hold sign, encourage shoppers, wave with enthusiasm for the last push. |
4:45 PM – 5:00 PM | Wrap-Up | Return sign, check out with coordinator, note tomorrow’s shift. |
