Temporary remote outbound calling role with Cengage's Milady brand booking product demos for beauty and wellness schools. Sales or customer service experience preferred but not required. Pays $20 to $23/hour plus $10 per attended demo.
About the Role
Cengage Group's Milady brand is hiring a Temporary Business Development Representative to contact beauty and wellness education customers by phone and email, present Milady's ExamReady solution, and schedule qualified demos for up to five sales reps. This is a temporary role as a direct Cengage employee.
What You Will Do
- Make proactive outbound calls and emails to prospective customers
- Present the benefits of Milady's ExamReady solution
- Identify customer interest and schedule qualified demo appointments
- Follow up to drive strong attendance at scheduled demos
- Keep accurate records of outreach and meet weekly activity and appointment goals
What You Need
- Experience in sales, customer service, business development, appointment setting, or lead generation is preferred but not required
- Confident, clear phone and written communication
- Comfortable with high-volume outbound outreach and hearing 'no'
- Strong organization and follow-up skills
- Interest in beauty, wellness, or education is a plus
Location & Pay
Remote in the United States. Temporary, direct Cengage employee. Compensation $20 to $23 per hour (the posting's pay-range section lists $20.00 to $24.00), plus a $10 incentive for every qualified appointment where the customer attends the demo, paid monthly.
