Remote AI data labeling job with Bobyard. Draw boxes and outlines on construction drawings to train AI models. No experience is required (image labeling experience is a nice-to-have). 3-6 month contract, 40 hours a week, with a path to full time. Pays $20 to $35/hour plus bonus.
About the Role
Bobyard is hiring a Data Annotation Specialist to label the construction drawings its computer vision models learn from, working directly with the machine learning engineers who use the data. The work is repetitive and exacting, and the goal is labels so consistent that engineers can use them without a second look. It is a 3-6 month contract with a path to full time for strong performers.
What You Will Do
- Label construction drawings with bounding boxes, polygons, and segmentation masks
- Apply labeling guidelines the same way from the first drawing to the last
- Flag unclear cases early and help sharpen the guidelines
- Clean existing datasets by fixing inconsistent labels, missing information, and duplicates
- Hit weekly quality and output targets
- Tell the engineers what you see in the data
What You Need
- A sharp eye for anything wrong, inconsistent, or missing
- Follows written instructions precisely and uses good judgment when they run out
- Can do focused, repetitive work for hours without losing accuracy
- Learns new tools fast and works well alone, remotely
- Clear written English
- Nice to have: image annotation tools (Labelbox, CVAT, Supervisely), basic computer vision ideas, or reading construction/CAD drawings
Location & Pay
Remote in the US, available during core Pacific Time hours. Contract, 3-6 months, 40 hours a week. Pay $20 to $35 per hour plus a performance bonus, with a path to full time for strong performers.
