Job Description:
Remote role for Florida residents helping Centene health plan members resolve complaints and access care. High school diploma required. Pays $19.43 to $32.98/hour.
About the Role
Centene is hiring a Member Advocate I to act as an advocate for members and a liaison between the health plan and providers. You will make sure members can get care, help with member education, and fix problems that keep members from appropriate care.
What You Will Do
- Receive and respond to member complaints and formal grievances
- Investigate and resolve access and cultural-sensitivity issues
- Work with community organizations to understand members' health needs
- Be the main contact for member advocacy groups and state agencies
- Keep member information confidential under HIPAA
What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of customer service experience in a healthcare setting
- Medicare and/or Medicaid experience preferred
- Availability between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM Eastern
- Authorization to work in the US without visa sponsorship
Location & Pay
