About the Role
PM Pediatric Care is hiring a remote, full-time Mental Health Patient Coordinator. The coordinator schedules appointments with providers for patients, referring physicians, and facilities across multiple states, and shares key information with patients and staff, including insurance coverage, financial responsibilities, and appointment dates and times. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm Eastern.
What You Will Do
- Give warm, friendly customer service to patients, referral sources, and staff
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments using the practice's scheduling tools
- Check insurance benefits through eligibility systems, websites, or phone calls
- Explain insurance coverage and costs to patients in clear language
- Handle billing questions, collect copays and deductibles, and process payments
- Work with billing teams to fix coverage issues and keep insurance panels up to date
What You Need
- Experience with insurance eligibility
- Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and work well on a team
Location & Pay
Remote (the job is listed as Remote - New York). Hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm Eastern. The posted compensation is $50,000 a year; PM Pediatric Care says actual pay can vary based on experience and qualifications.
