About the Role
Geisinger is hiring a full-time work-from-home Patient Contact Specialist I for its Patient Contact Center. The team receives and places calls to schedule medical appointments, collects registration and insurance information, and routes other patient requests.
What You Will Do
- Schedule, cancel, and confirm appointments by matching patient preferences with physician and test scheduling guidelines
- Collect and update registration, demographic, and insurance details while scheduling
- Answer non-scheduling questions and route calls to the right place, aiming for one-call resolution
- Process multi-channel messages about appointments, referrals, prescriptions, and complaints
- Meet contact center quality and service goals
What You Need
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of related work experience
- Strong computer skills, including working across multiple monitors and learning new software quickly
- Familiarity with medical terminology strongly preferred
- A quiet, dedicated home workspace with a cable internet connection (100/25 Mbps) and a wired Ethernet connection
Location & Pay
Work from home in Pennsylvania. Full-time, 40 hours per week; shifts within contact center hours of Monday-Friday 7:00 AM-7:00 PM and Saturday-Sunday 8:00 AM-12:00 PM. Minimum starting rate $15.25 per hour, with higher starting rates based on relevant experience. Benefits from day one, including medical, dental, and vision.
