About the Role
Benepass is hiring a People Experience Support Agent. This is an internal customer experience role: you are the first point of contact for employees who need help with workplace technology, People processes, expenses, and benefits. You will listen, ask good questions, fix routine issues, guide employees through clear next steps, and own each request until it is solved or handed off. You report to the Senior Director of People and work with People Operations, Trust, Finance, and IT.
What You Will Do
- Own the first-line IT helpdesk queue: password resets, account access, permissions, and access removal
- Process and check employee expense reports against policy
- Handle HSA and LSA enrollments and help employees with routine benefits questions
- Order and track laptops and accessories and fill hardware and software requests
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding checklists, including laptop setup, welcome kits, and I-9 completion
- Use approved AI tools to speed up support and suggest small improvements
What You Need
- 1-2 years in customer experience, customer support, technical support, or internal IT support
- Experience working from a ticket queue is valuable
- Strong attention to detail and comfort with spreadsheets
- Learns new software quickly; experience with a ticketing tool and Slack
- Clear, patient communication and good judgment with confidential information
- Nice to have: startup or remote-first experience, expense tools like Expensify, Ramp, or Brex, or Google Workspace Admin, Okta, or Mac setup
Location & Pay
Remote role based in the United States. You will attend company-wide on-site events one to two times a year, plus occasional office travel. Base salary $55,000 to $67,000 plus equity. Benefits include 95% coverage of medical, dental, and vision, a $250 home office setup, $150 a month for phone and internet, $100 a month for wellness, a $500 yearly learning budget, and flexible PTO.
