About the Role
Imagine Pediatrics is hiring an SSI Specialist to guide patients' families through the Supplemental Security Income application process and help them secure the benefits they may be entitled to. You will work one-on-one with families, check their paperwork, prepare applications, and stay in touch with them and the agencies until a decision is made.
What You Will Do
- Explain the SSI application process, eligibility rules, and required documents to applicants
- Review application documents for accuracy and completeness
- Hold one-on-one consultations to gather information and answer questions
- Prepare SSI applications for caregiver review on time and in line with regulations
- Track application progress, follow up with agencies, and keep families updated
- Keep accurate, confidential records of client interactions and outcomes
- Stay current on SSI regulations, policies, and procedures
What You Need
- High school diploma required
- Previous experience in SSI application assistance or a related field
- Strong knowledge of SSI eligibility criteria and application procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a compassionate, patient manner
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to keep strict confidentiality
- Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
Location & Pay
Remote in the United States. Hourly range of $22 to $26 plus an annual bonus incentive and eligibility for an employee equity purchase program (as applicable).
